TRIBE// is led by Victoria Fox and is the culmination of 20 year’s experience at the cutting edge of dance. Described as “visceral and fearless”, TRIBE// has toured debut work, Still I Rise, to over 20 venues and to over 2000 people. A new outdoor version of the work will be created in 2021 (delayed due to COVID19), commissioned by Waterman’s and Play to the Crowd, with support from a Surf the Wave grant. No Sudden Moves will be TRIBE//’s next work.
Clearcut impact: Kyla brings her Producer’s eye and insight to achieve Victoria’s artistic vision through a relationship of challenge and support and providing fundraising, producing, management and evaluation.
Since 2016 TRIBE// has created accessible dance for a range of audiences to enjoy, connect with and be inspired by. The connection with the audience drives a dynamic, gutsy and inventive choreographic craft. Fox is quickly establishing herself as a powerful female choreographic voice. Still I Rise was shortlisted for South East Dance Best Dance Performance (Brighton Fringe Festival Award) and selected from 180 companies to be shown in Surf The Wave UK showcase of dance and a sold out highlight of Brighton Festival 2019. Victoria is a Discovery Artist at Pavilion Dance South West and an Associate Artist at Swindon Dance. In 2019 TRIBE// became Company in Residence at Worthing Theatre.
New work No Sudden Moves is slowly coming to life as an indoor show and outdoor experience after successful R&D and a little pause due to COVI19.
